Charity Event Bounds Back

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has announced the date for its next Pound the Bounds walking event in Worcestershire, on Sunday 6th May 2018.

Join hundreds of walkers and runners across beautiful terrain in the height of spring, in the village of Rock near Kidderminster. Choose from a marathon, 18 mile, half marathon, nine or six mile route, or join the family treasure trail, all helping to raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Michelle McCracken, Worcestershire fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, says: “Pound the Bounds is a great challenge for walkers and runners of all abilities. The last event raised over £5,000 for the charity, funding two lifesaving air ambulance missions.

“We hope to raise even more next year with the help of our fantastic supporters.”

Registration will be open soon, starts from £6.00 for the six mile route, £8.00 for the nine mile,half marathon, 18 mile and marathon routes. All participants are also encouraged to raise sponsorship money for the charity leading up to the event.

Put A Spring In Your Step For Charity

Join over 500 people for the ‘Rock Pound the Bounds’ walking event in Worcestershire, on Sunday 30th April, raising lifesaving funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Choose from a marathon, 18 mile, half marathon, nine mile, six mile or three mile route, through some fabulous terrain including woodland, pasture, riverside and meadow and at this time of year the countryside is at its most beautiful with bluebells and other spring flowers at their best.

Michelle McCracken, Worcestershire fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity says: “Rock Pound the Bounds is a lovely day out for the whole family, with routes for all abilities, including a three mile treasure trail for young families.

“In 2016, the event raised over £7,000 for the charity, which helped to fund two lifesaving air ambulance missions.”

Registration starts from £6 for adults on the six and nine mile, and half marathon routes, and £8 for the 18 mile and marathon routes. All participants are also encouraged to raise sponsorship money for the charity leading up to the event.

Marathon Runners Flock To Charity Event

Worcestershire residents have taken a keen interest in Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s ‘Rock Pound the Bounds’, with the marathon route proving to be the most popular.

Taking place on Sunday 30th April, the event which was first held in 2000, has grown in popularity year by year, with 500 people taking part in 2016.

Michelle McCracken, Worcestershire fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity says: “Rock Pounds the Bounds attracts runners and walkers of all abilities, as there is a choice of five different routes, which all take in stunning scenery.

“It’s a fantastic event for people to take part in, whilst raising vital funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.”

Registration Now Open For Pound The Bounds 2017

Due to demand, registration for the Rock Pound The Bounds walking event, taking place on Sunday 30th April 2017, has now opened, and trail runners and walkers of all abilities are now being encouraged to sign up.

In support of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, Pound The Bounds, which starts and finishes at Rock Village Hall, near Kidderminster, offers walking groups, trail runners, friends, families and corporate teams six differing lengths of walks. These include the marathon (26.2 mile), 18 mile, half marathon (13.5 mile), nine mile and six mile trails, plus a three mile treasure trail for youngsters.

On behalf of the organisers, the Rock Pathfinders committee, Sue Humphries, says: “Pound The Bounds continues to grow in popularity, so this year we decided to launch online registration early to enable people to secure their place on this well attended fundraising event for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.”

Pound The Bounds Announces New Routes

Ahead of the Pound The Bounds walks taking place on 30th April 2017 from Rock, near Kidderminster, the organisers have changed a third of the routes on offer, to provide those who attend every year with alternative walks through the glorious Worcestershire countryside.

“Out of the six distances available on the day, our six and nine mile routes are the popular, attracting over 150 walkers each,” states Sue Humphries, one of the event organisers. She continues: “A number of walkers return to Pound The Bounds each year, which is why we are altering two of the routes, so participants can take advantage of differing parts of our beautiful county.”

As well as the newly created six and nine mile routes, walkers of all abilities, and trail runners can sign up for the marathon (26.2 mile), 18 mile or the half marathon (13.5 mile) routes, while a three mile treasure trail is an ideal option for young families.

In total Pound The Bounds, which is now in its 17th year, attracts over 500 people, and the event is run in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Last year the event raised over £7,200 for the organisation through entrance fees and sponsorship, which will help fund three lifesaving air ambulance missions.

Registration for the event will open in the new year. Entry fees start from just £3 per person for the treasure trail and £6 for the more advanced walks. Bank Holiday Challenge For Lifesaving Charity

If you’re wondering how to keep the kids busy this bank holiday weekend, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is hosting its annual Pound the Bounds walks on Sunday 1st May in Worcestershire, to raise money for its lifesaving service.

Pound the Bounds takes walkers and runners across a variety of terrain, whilst taking in spectacular views of the Worcestershire countryside, from Rock in Kidderminster. Routes include a marathon or half marathon, 18, nine or six mile routes, or a three mile treasure trail for young families.

If you’re in search of a fun and challenging team building activity, the Rock Pound the Bounds event on Sunday 1st May in Worcestershire, organised by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, offers stunning scenery, fabulous terrain and the perfect opportunity to work as a team, and motivate colleagues to complete the route.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is calling on trail runners to take on its Pound the Bounds marathon on Sunday 1st May, which offers fantastic views of the Worcestershire countryside and raises vital funds for the lifesaving service.

The trail which is located in Rock, Kidderminster,  takes you through some fabulous terrain including woodland, pasture, riverside and meadow and at this time of year the countryside is at its most beautiful with bluebells and other spring flowers at their best.

If you’re not quite ready for a marathon, sign up for the 18 miles, half marathon (13 miles), nine or six mile walks, or take on the three mile treasure trail with the kids.

Walkers and Runners Invited To Put Their Best Foot Forward and Celebrate Midlands Air Ambulance’s 25th Anniversary

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is calling on supporters to ‘Rock Pound the Bounds’ in Worcestershire in May, to raise vital funds for the charity in its 25th anniversary year.

The fundraising event which offers spectacular views of the Worcestershire countryside, will take place on Sunday 1st May from Rock Village Hall. Route options include a marathon (26 mile), 18 mile, half marathon (13 mile), nine or six mile routes, and a three mile treasure trail for young families.

Henk Buzink, organiser of the Rock Pound the Bounds committee says: “Our event has been running for 16 years and we are very proud to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. We look forward to this year’s walks celebrating the services 25th anniversary. There are routes to suit all abilities, and we have introduced a new half marathon route to accommodate advanced walkers and runners.”
